Questions

Do I need to register if I pay no Corporate Tax?

In most cases yes. Registration and a return are generally required even when no tax is due, for example under Small Business Relief.

What is the registration deadline for a new company?

For a company incorporated on or after 1 March 2024, within three months of incorporation (FTA Decision No. 3 of 2024).

I registered late. Can the penalty be waived?

Possibly. The FTA waiver initiative cancels the late-registration penalty (or refunds it) if the first return is filed within 7 months of the end of the first tax period. We check whether you qualify.
